Meet Jessica

What inspired you to become a therapist?

My passion for this work is deeply rooted in both my professional and personal life. For over a decade, I had the privilege of supporting families in their homes during pregnancy and the early postpartum period. Being invited into their lives during such a vulnerable time was humbling, and combined with my own journey as a postpartum depression survivor, it ignited my passion to provide specialized, compassionate mental health care.

What types of clients do you typically work with?

I specialize in supporting individuals and families through all aspects of the reproductive journey. This includes those who are family planning, currently pregnant, navigating the postpartum period, or have experienced a loss. My work is informed by extensive experience, including three years of providing telehealth services and co-facilitating multiple postpartum depression support groups.

How would you describe your approach to therapy?

As a therapist, I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental, and compassionate space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings. My approach is collaborative; I tailor interventions to meet your unique needs and goals, integrating evidence-based practices like CBT and ACT with a warm, client-centered style. My passion lies in helping you navigate life's challenges, build on your strengths, and foster meaningful change.

What can a client expect from their first session with you?

You can expect a welcoming and safe space where you can feel comfortable sharing your story. Our first session is primarily about getting to know each other; I’ll listen to understand what brought you to therapy and what you hope to achieve. Together, we will start to outline some initial goals and ensure you feel that we are a good fit to move forward.

If you could give one piece of advice to someone struggling with their mental health, what would it be?

As someone who has navigated my own postpartum challenges, my advice is to remember that reaching out is a profound act of strength, not weakness. In a world that pressures parents to be perfect, acknowledging that you need support is a brave first step toward feeling better. You truly do not have to do this alone.

What do you hope clients take away from their work with you?

My passion for this work is deeply rooted in both my professional and personal life. For over a decade, I had My hope is that you leave our work together feeling empowered and resilient. I am passionate about creating a space for growth where you can uncover your strengths and align your actions with your values. Ultimately, I want to help you build a toolkit of practical coping strategies and find a renewed sense of hope for the future.

Is there anything else that you'd like to share?

When I'm not working, my world revolves around my three daughters—I love planning fun, movie-themed nights for us to enjoy together. My personal "happy place" where I go to recharge is a quiet cabin in the mountains.
