About Lyndsay

Lyndsay's approach to therapy is rooted in connection and honesty. She believes that you are the expert on your own life and has a direct, action-oriented style. Her goal is to help you see that, too. She provides a safe space where you can show up exactly as you are, without judgment.

With a background in maternal and child health settings, Lyndsay has seen firsthand the challenges families face. She specializes in helping parents navigate everything from pregnancy to the first year postpartum and beyond. She is especially passionate about attachment, or how our own childhoods shape the way we parent. She helps you understand these patterns so you can feel more confident in the bond you are building with your child.

What inspired you to become a therapist?

My journey with the perinatal population began in 2019. Working in Maternal and Child Health settings and case management gave me a front-row seat to the unique challenges families face. I saw the deep need for specialized support during this transition, and it inspired me to create a space where parents feel seen and supported from the moment they even consider pregnancy through that first year postpartum.

What types of clients do you typically work with?

I primarily work with individuals navigating the perinatal period. This includes people who are just starting to think about pregnancy, those currently expecting, and parents up to a year postpartum. I specialize in helping those who might be struggling with their mental health or are worried about how their own experiences will shape their relationship with their children.

How would you describe your approach to therapy?

I am a huge believer in attachment theory. Often, we base our parenting choices on what we experienced as children, deciding whether we want to mirror our own parents or do things completely differently. My approach is rooted in connection and honesty. I believe you are the expert on yourself; I am simply here to help you see and believe that, too. I also love to bring a little humor and levity into my practice. Sometimes it helps us feel more comfortable when we're exploring the more intimate parts of ourselves.

What can a client expect from their first session with you?

You can expect a place where you can show up exactly as you are. I meet people where they are, without judgment. Our first session is about building that initial connection and creating a safe environment where you feel comfortable being honest about your struggles and your goals.

Advice for someone struggling with their mental health

Be kind to yourself as you navigate these transitions. So many people struggling with postpartum mental health are deeply concerned about how it will affect their children. Remember that seeking help is a massive step in being the parent you want to be.

What do you hope clients take away from their work with you?

I want my clients to walk away with a stronger sense of self-belief and a deeper understanding of their own attachment patterns. My goal is for you to feel empowered in your parenting choices and more confident in the bond you are building with your child.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

When I'm not in the therapy room, I'm likely surrounded by my cats (I'm a total cat lady) or lost in a book. I usually average 3 to 5 books a month! I'm also a huge Grinch lover; my kids actually say it's a real problem, but I embrace it!
